Priscilla Cross,  Seasons

The eternal quest, the great longing to be reunited with the source in every cell and every breath of my being, seems to be what I paint these days, even though often I start to paint without a thought at all - let my hands go and hope to let my subconscious work. To receive the gifts of the spiritual realm within.
Afterwards I look at the work until I see something in it. Then I develop that, I try to step aside and let the spirit come through. I love to go beyond reason. I find the transcendence there. I love color. I have a craving for it.
Designs assemble themselves within and then gather into unconsciousness of a new forming. I would sense after the intention of the assemblage, and let my hand be guided by the inner eye which studies the heavenly pattern. Hidden in the seed is the later growth and hidden with the wood or stone, or smear of paint, is the loveliness designed by spirit.
